Use vivid colors and multiple layers of tissue paper to give your images a spooky 3D effect!

Are you getting sick of my fall-inspired crafts yet? Me neither. Let’s do another fun craft to celebrate the season! This time, we’ll create fun 3D images using tissue paper. Your preschoolers will see their craft “come to life” as they scrunch, tear, and glue soft tissue paper to create cheerful pumpkins and friendly ghosts!

This hands-on craft encourages creativity while building essential early skills. We’ll use vibrant orange and fluffy white textures to make seasonal favorite images that are perfect for wall or fridge displays!

Developmental Benefits

This craft supports preschool development in several key areas:

  • Fine Motor Skills: Scrunching and gluing tissue paper strengthens finger muscles and hand-eye coordination.
  • Sensory Exploration: Soft, crinkly textures and bold colors engage tactile and visual senses.
  • Creativity & Expression: Children choose how to decorate their pumpkins and ghosts, fostering independence and imagination.
  • Following Directions: Step-by-step crafting builds listening and sequencing skills.
  • Emotional Regulation: Repetitive motions like tearing and gluing can be calming and help with focus.
