Ingredients

  • 4 Large Eggs
  • 3/4 cup Milk use whole milk for added richness, or a dairy-free substitute of your choice.
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 6 slices Thick-Cut Bread
  • 2 tbsp Butter

Method

  1. In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt until fully combined.
  2. Place a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add 1 tbsp butter and let it melt, coating the pan evenly.
  3. Take each slice of bread and dip it into the cinnamon egg batter, ensuring both sides are coated. Let excess batter drip off to prevent sogginess.
  4. Place the coated bread slices onto the heated skillet. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown and slightly crispy. Add the remaining 1 tbsp butter as needed for additional slices.
  5. Transfer the French toast to a plate and top with maple syrup, powdered sugar, or fresh fruit. Serve warm and enjoy!
