Method
- Prepare the popcorn. Place the popped popcorn in a large mixing bowl and remove any unpopped kernels.
- Melt the chocolate. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips in 20–30 second intervals, stirring between each until smooth.
- Make it green. Add a few drops of green food coloring to the melted chocolate and stir until you get a bright green color.
- Coat the popcorn. Drizzle the green chocolate over the popcorn and gently toss to coat.
- Let it set. Spread the popcorn mixture onto parchment paper and allow the chocolate to harden for about 10–15 minutes.
- Break apart and add mix-ins. Once set, break the mix into clusters and stir in the marshmallows, pretzels, green candies, and sprinkles.
Notes
Ingredient Swaps
- White chocolate alternative: Use green candy melts instead of white chocolate and food coloring.
- Healthier option: Swap some candy for dry cereal (like Cheerios or Chex).
- Pretzel substitute: Use mini graham cracker pieces for a sweeter mix.
- Candy options: Replace M&M’s with green chocolate chips, mint candies, or yogurt-covered raisins.
- Marshmallow swap: Use mini dehydrated marshmallows (like the ones in hot chocolate mix) for extra crunch.
Storage Tips
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature to keep the popcorn crunchy.
- It will stay fresh for about 3–4 days if sealed well.
- Keep it in a cool, dry place, since heat can cause the chocolate coating to soften.
